There has been few interests in self-construal and involvement which are very important social psychological variables in tourism theories among the tourism theorists. Self-construal and involvement can be very important variables which explain our behavioral differences. This study analyzed the effects of self-construal and involvement on the cognitive image of destinations. A researcher set the self-construal as an independent variable which explains the cognitive image, and then drew a IP travel involvement by structural elements after applying the IP involvement to travel behaviors. As a result of analyses, it was revealed that the self-construal as an independent variable makes a significant impact on the cognitive image, and in the process of this, the IP travel involvement carries out as a mediator by structural elements. Researcher expect that there would be more developments in the tourism theories through the application of the self-construal and the IP travel involvement
