The purpose of this study is to elucidate the role of urban life in the investigation of communal life of Sin, Kyung-rim's poems. In Sin, Kyung-rim's poems, urban life was related to the life of rural community and the life of migrants who moved into the outskirts of Seoul. In Sin, Kyung-rim' poems, urban life played important roles as the rupture of rural community and the momentum of recognition of communal life. Thus, Sin Kyung-rim could cope with the situation of modernization as timely as possible by dint of the investigation of communal life.
