The purpose of this study was to provide and accumulate basic data for the development of sports broadcasting and sports industries by the analysis on the cognition of market competition and trade autonomy about broadcasting right of major sporting events. To accomplish the goal of this study, the 400 valid samples lived in Seoul City and Gyeong-Gi province were selected with using the convenience & quota sampling method. It’s analyzed materials used reliability analysis, descriptive statistic analysis, One-Way ANOVA & Post-hoc analysis LSD etc and every statistics provability level was α=.05. The conclusion of study was as following. First, the most highly recognized need for guaranteed of broadcast rights a market-focused trade was the World Cup soccer of semi final game and final competitive games among the major sports events. Second, in general women were higher than men in the analysis on the gender about perception of broadcast rights guaranteed a market-focused trade. Third, under 20 age group was found that more perceived need than any other age group about cognition of market competition and trade autonomy of broadcasting right of major sporting events. Finally, middle school education or less group was more cognized about it than the other groups in general.
