According to Ya Xian himself, he has been under the influence of the poet He Qi-fang. This Paper compares the two from the perspective of “Soli tary Psychology”. In the poetry of Ya Xian, many of them are related to the solitude state of having sex/affairs with a companion who is loyal. However, some of his poems are related to sublime solitude. This situation reflects two opposing temperaments. Relating to the theme of self-burial, the poems of Ya Xian have embedded with a kind of invasion against women. Physical solitude is almost insignificant in the poems of He Qifang. In contrast, it is rich in the work of Ya Xian as he wrote many poems relating to the miseries of minor characters. Regard ing the aspect of time, He Qifang tends to quest for life after death while Ya Xian is neglecting the future entirely.
