The purpose of this study is to categorize senior lifestyle and analyze correlation between senior lifestyle and intelligent home service. We suggest the basic data to set up guideline for the intelligent home service based on senior lifestyle. In this study, we carry out questionaries targeting 104 elderly people. The survey consists of three parts : items for measuring senior lifestyle, items for analyzing service requirement what seniors need in order to offer them intelligent home and items for generalities. This data gained from the questionaries is analyzed through descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and correlation analysis.
The results of this study are as follows ; The senior lifestyle can be explained as 4 typologies 1) seeking outgoing satisfaction 2) seeking health 3) seeking practical living 4) seeking stable social service activities. The correlation between senior lifestyle and intelligent home service is analyzed with 4 parts ; 1) First lifestyle group seeking satisfaction from outgoing activity shows the highest number of intelligent home service such as safety/security, interior environment/energy reduction, culture & leisure, and housework support 2) Second lifestyle group putting priority on health shows generally correlation with both health managing and interior environment/energy reduction. 3) Third lifestyle group seeking through practical living is related to the service supply and culture & leisure. 4) Forth lifestyle group seeking satisfaction from stable social service activities has mere correlation with the services for health managing and interior environment/energy reduction.
