    In this paper, we analyze the performance of time-hopping multiple-access (THMA) ultra-wideband (UWB) system when modified Hermite polynomial (MHP) pulse is used instead of Gaussian monopulse. Since the MHP pulse has better autocorrelation properties than Gaussian monopulse does, multiple-access interference (MAI) can be reduced. Bit error probability of proposed system is derived from autocorrelation function of MHP pulse. We show the analytical result that the system using MHP pulse has better BER performance than that of Gaussian monopulse in the view of various users and SNRs.
