Miao clothing style of plastic arts is worth to study, not only because of the practical functions that people need to adapt to the natural environment, but also because of Miao clothing style shape, the clothing materials, the production process and technologies. All branches are retained varying degrees of evolution of ancient Chinese clothing culture series.
Miao clothing are closely related in shape and style, and combined the structure of clothing, color, with decoration as a whole shape, combined with people body shape, into a multi-faceted three-dimensional modeling.
Sum up some aspects of beauty in the actual life, re-processing, according to different decorative objects, decorative techniques and features for fantasy ideas, refining, and summarized, highlighting a need for affection. We can extract some of them to refine and summarized, applied to the modern design to perform our own design concept and behavior.
Work 1, according to Miao costumes x-shape garment for the prototype creation. Using denim fabric and leather, red and blue in color, adding brown and silver.
Work 2, the design is based on the H-Miao clothing apparel for the creative design, still use for denim and leather.
Work 3, the overall shape is X type, the coat dose not use the traditional Miao style, use the leather together to make the pattern above.
This study analysis on Miao cultural background and Miao clothing, to extract the representative features of costumes, carry out an exaggerated creation and expression through art clothing. Although the colors, fabrics, jewelry was changed, but the creation is always keeping the characteristics of Miao clothing.
