    Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld(DVB-H) uses ‘Time-Slicing’ technique to achieve maximum portability by reducing the power consumption of the receiver. So, it is required that the synchronization time is kept to a minimum in order to fulfill the utmost in power saving. In this paper, we propose a fast and robust scattered pilot synchronization scheme. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme is able to reduce the synchronization time efficiently and has good Doppler tolerance and noise robustness as compared with the conventional schemes. The performance of each scheme is analyzed and compared in Section V. Finally, some conclusions are drawn in Section VI.
