Today’s drivers shall require the high level of safety and convenient as well as basic features of vehicle. These requirements have been reflected to vehicle. As a result, more and more ECUs with complex function are mounted on the vehicle. Which are including the critical part as a break and steering system. This change of automotive makes that the embedded software given a more weight in vehicle developing process because its reliability is directly effect on vehicle safety. For this reason, embedded software greatly needs systematic testing at each development stage to minimize error. Usually the traditional code-based development process has been performed unit test, integration test and system test. But these methods are not enough to satisfy the demanding requirement of the automotive ECU’s reliability and safety. Recently, MBDP (Model-Based Development Process) methodologies are becoming more common to automotive site. It also have to create the proved source code but this method have a different development process and test methodology with MIL, SIL, PIL and HIL. In this paper, We will introduce to test methodology and strategy for MBDP. And build the test environment for compare SIL (Software-In-The-Loop) and PIL (Processor-In-The-Loop) test result. And perform the test with simple model. Through this test, we will verify the test environment that is suitable for MBDP test.
