This research is to study how properly provincial government and each local autonomous body use language patterns on its websites and building, and whether errors are found in language usage. For them, this research conducted a survey of websites of autonomous bodies under Chungcheongbuk-do, on the actual condition of language usage. and analyzed what errors they make, categorizing such language errors according to each type. The results of this research unveil that the cases of errors found in websites of government offices account for 15,754, in total. As to each type of such errors, the literary language norm and grammar totals 12,801 and 1,358, respectively. Semantic and other errors reach 700 and 895, respectively. But, the biggest rate of language errors found in websites totals 72.27%. Most websites make a highly error in word spacing. The most primary concern of writing sentences is thoroughly to follow the norm of Korean language, Korean orthography. Now that the role of public institutions is not simply to deliver information to citizens but also, to lead those people in a right and sound way, it makes sense to abide by verbal norm so that all people can use and write the correct Korean language.
