This research was conducted to approach solving problems of inner psychology and environmental factors of hearing impaired athletes related to career by counseling. In addition, sample athletes were consisted of hearing impaired level 2 sprinters, and the research tried to report the effective cases based on Rogers’ person-centered counseling technique. The goal of counseling was to reduce the problems on cognitive and behavioral aspects of athletes to the maximum extent. Counseling method of the research used the Rogers’ person-centered counseling technique, and a sign language and documentation were used as communication methods during process, and Match Recall Questionnaire, TOPS, and SSCQ were used as reference materials to understand athletes’ psychological characteristics. Enough of rapport formation and triangulation were used to secure the reliability of the data. Goal of the counseling was: firstly, to reduce conflicts between leaders; secondly, to resolve anxiety and pressure so as to reduce negative elements; thirdly, to induce mistaken repentance from the match to change to positive self-talk; fourthly, to introduce the psychological training and the cognizance so as to improve the ability to control negative psychology during the unfolding match situation; and lastly, to improve the inner motives of athletes’. These counseling goals seemed approached significantly to solve the problems based on athletes’ verbal reactions on each session, and the counseling suggested affecting positive impacts on psychological problems.
