In China, it is commonly held that Chen wangdao’ Introduction to Rhetoric build a brand-new theoretical system of Chinese Rhetoric. In fact, there exist many elements which are borrowed from or imitated after the foreign especially Japanese pre-modern rhetorical works. The article selects many Japanese loan words from the book, which constitutes the features of the phenomenon of Culture merger in that particular historical period.
