This paper aims to investigate the characteristics of time and spatial use in leisure activity. To reach the purpose, we classifies the leisure activity into "everyday life leisure activity", "urban cultural complex activity", and "recreational & tourism activity" with consideration of the range of mobility which is distinctively differed with those of previous research. By applying time-geography theory, we estimate Potential Path Space(PPS) and Potential Path Area(PPA) which show opportunity scale in time and spatial use for three types of leisure activities. In this study, PPA and PPS in everyday life leisure activity occurs within 8.4kJJi and 7.5klll.h respectively, on the country, PPA and PPS in recreational & tourism activity occurs within 398.7klll" and 372.5Jvn.h. And further social-demographical differences of time and spatial use in each activities are explored. This study would be used as useful reference to set up planning goals and standards for spatial planning of leisure and recreation service.
