Purpose ? This study investigates the effect of the service characteristics of beauty that salon on the satisfaction, commitment and behavioral intention of customer.
Design/Methodology ?Based on the qualitative research for related previous research. the service characteristics of beauty art salon was defined with reputation of beauty art salon, professionalism, entertainment and familiarity for service environment and service process. The authors proposed a research model and hypotheses which represent the sequential relations directional from characteristics of beauty art salon to customer satisfaction and commitment, and the customer behavioral intention. Operational definition of variables was made to measure the constructs of the model and data were collected from questionnaires survey and the hypotheses were empirically tested by two-stages multiple regression analysis.
Findings ? t is concluded from the empirical investigation that customer satisfaction is significantly affected by the professionalism, entertainment and familiarity among the characteristics of beauty art salon while customer commitment is affected by entertainment. Also statistical analysis of regression model with predictors of customer satisfaction and commitment on customer behavior intention indicates that both of all predictors have positive effect on customer behavioral intension.
Implications ? The research findings provide a direction of the strategy for the beauty art salon to secure competitive edge on high-quality and scale of economy.
