The purpose of this study was to analyze wearing status of training wear and research the preference of training wear. The questionnaire consisted of 11 questions and the study results are as follows. For the opinions about the wearing frequency of training wear, there were the most opinion of wearing sometimes. The opinion of wearing everyday was similar to that of wearing sometimes. To the questions about wearing purpose of training wear, there was the answers that it was used for everyday dress. For the wearing scope of training wear, the scope around house was highest with a lot of mountain climbing, schoolㆍcompany and going-out. For the wearing of training wear as a fashion item, the opinion of fine was the highest and there was the opinion of very fine. For the reason to use training wear, there was the most opinions of convenience with the opinion of good design. To the question about purchase ocst of training wear, the opinion that KRW 100~200 thousand was high. For the point to consider when training wear was selected, design was high. For the preferred training wear brand, NIKE was preferred. Its reason was design in most cases. For the collaboration between designer and sports brand, many people thought it positively.
Until now on, people have used training wear frequently and its scope has been restricted to daily life at home and the purpose to go out to near place. However, people showed positive responses to training wear used for fashion item. Especially, people gave a priority to design when purchasing training wear or selecting brand. Youth enjoys various cultures and searches for own fashion style. The wearing of training wear shown in youth group is one of their expression to get free emotion without restriction of form. It can be considered as a possibility oj new aesthetic consciousness creation.
Therefore, the study on training fashion shown in domestic youth fashion is the work to grasp youth fashion style to understand and adopt new culture. At the same time, the study can be an objective data for marketing field and product development and design.
