The purpose of this study is to investigate kinematic factors of forward roll in leaning position after performing handstand, which is a basic technique in gymnastics floor exercise, between an expert and a non-expert, and to provide an efficient teaching method and a proper performing method of mat exercise to current physical education teachers and prospective teachers who are preparing teacher certification examination. In addition, the study aims to provide basic data of training for developmental technical movements for beginner gymnasts. In order to achieve these study purposes, the study selected the study targets including 1 male gymnast and 6 male students of physical education department who do not have gymnastics experience and are preparing teacher certification examination for physical education. As a result, an expert showed longer time required in the entire section and displayed more relaxed finishing movement by making large movements. An expert showed quicker horizontal and vertical velocity by making a large rotation radius and waking up as pushing the ground at the moment of release, and the expert completes finishing movement stably by slowing down horizontal and vertical velocity through making the wide angle of a shoulder joint and a hip joint. In addition, the expert shows stable finishing movement by making fast angle velocity through quickly bending the angle of a hip joint when the heel touches the mat.
