    The purpose of this study is to build a trunk bus network in Seoul and to evaluate its impacts. Considering the criteria such as high density, connecting between CBD and sub-centers, linked to CBD, without subway services. with a plenty of bus services, or with bus exclusive lanes on it, we adopted some corridor types to build network. Based on them, the study proposes 13 trunk bus corridors whose length reaches up to 270km. This network is characterized that only 20% of the network overlaps with the subway routes in Seoul, and that among them three corridors do not have even subway services underneath them. The impacts of this network conditioned with central bus lanes on it are diversely analyzed. With the implementaion, the patronage of bus users increases by 8.8%, and auto passengers drop by 5.9%. The city-wide impacts are bounded by only 0.4% increase of bus users and 0.2% decrease of auto passengers. However, the economic impact characterized as time cost savings is estimated 421.5 billion won per year.
