    This paper describes the design and the implementation of control architecture for the autonomous service robot PSR (Public Service Robot). The PSR is under development at the KIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology) for transportation and surveillance in public spaces such as office buildings and hospitals. The PSR is composed of an omni-directional mobile robot, a manipulator, a multi-fingered robot hand and a reconfigurable trailer system. Well-established control architecture is essential to integrate various hardware and software modules. The proposed architecture is represented by following three frameworks. 1) Layered functionality diagram: three-layered design for arranging various software modules and representing the connectivity between them. 2) Class diagram: class implementation of functional modules for modularity and reusability. 3) Configuration diagram: Petri nets based configuration design for planning process. The proposed architecture is implemented in the indoor service robot PSR. The developed control approach is demonstrated with the experiments to be successful and efficient for supervising the autonomous service robots.
