The cutting method using the ultrasonic wave which cutting by applying high frequency vibrational energy into specific area at constant pressure.
The performance of the Cutting tool is normally relevant to the resonance at the operating frequency and the vibration amplitude, the uniformity of the amplitude on output surface. this paper proposes a design procedure of the cutting Tool using vibration equation and FEM. We calculated and analyzed the natural frequency to find the optimal design by the modal analysis and harmonic analysis using ANSYS.
