In the present day, the international society is promoting policies to reduce greenhouse gas emission. In Korea, buildings consume over 25% of the total energy consumed. Contribution rates are applied in order to draw the utmost measures to reduce building energy consumption.
In comparison to total construction cost, insulation is studied to yield the most contribution toward energy reduction. Heating method and glazing were the next. By applying the certification system, additional construction cost is about ￦700,000∼￦1,400,000 when upgrading level.
Finally, the construction cost is going to add ￦30,000∼180,000 per 1% of energy saving. The insulation has highest efficiency among other materials used in the construction.
