The objective of this study is to analyze the sports confidence characteristics in sepaktakraw players. This study perfonned a survey on the four sub-areas in sports confidence(ability improvement, social support, coach leadership, and physical and mental preparation). Sample size is a total of 209 players, such as 109 male and 100 female registered in the Korea Sepaktakraw Association(51 national players, 41 junior players, and 117 regular players). As a result, the conclusion of the analysis can be summarized as follows:
First, in the analysis of the sports confidence according to sex, female players showed higher levels in the areas of social support and mental and physical preparation than that of male players significantly.
Second, in the analysis of the sports confidence according to career, players with high career represented high sports confidence levels. I
Third, in the analysis of the sports confidence according to performance, the national players showed higher levels than regular players in the social support. Also, the national players represented higher levels than the junior and regular players in the mental and physical preparation.
Fourth, the players who show high performance represented higher levels in sports confidence than other players. In the sub-areas that showed significant differences in the results statistically, the very best players showed higher levels than the best players in the social support and coach leadership, and the very best players represented higher levels than the best and regular players in the mental and physical preparation.
