The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the servant leadership of the secondary school volleyball leader and players’ group efficacy. Research subjects are male and female volleyball players in middle and high schools nationwide, who are registered in Korea Volleyball Association in 2012 and for final analysis, data of 348 people was employed. For a statistical method for hypothesis testing, multiple regression analysis was conducted, and as a result, the following findings were obtained: First, it was found that among 4 sub-factors of volleyball leaders’ servant leadership, growth support and vision provision have positive(+) effects on group efficacy of the effort factor. Second, it was found that among 4 sub-factors of volleyball leaders’ servant leadership, growth support, vision provision, and community building have positive(+) effects on group efficacy of the ability factor. Third, it was found that among 4 sub-factors of volleyball leaders’ servant leadership, only vision provision have a positive(+) effect on group efficacy of the preparation factor. Fourth, it was found that among 4 sub-factors of volleyball leaders’ servant leadership, vision provision, growth support, and community building have positive(+) effects on group efficacy of the solidarity factor. In summary, it was found that secondary school volleyball leaders’ servant leadership are very closely associated with group efficacy, which indicates that it’s necessary to reconsider use of the servant leadership in the volleyball teaching field.
