International co-producing is broadly known as a stable way to retrieve the investment from the risk and from surging production cost. Moreover, it is a recommended business strategy that culturally sneak into the pertinent business market. The Term ‘International Co-Produce’ indicates cooperation between business partners from other countries not only for funding but also developing ideas of the contents together such as; idea development, directing of the contents and technical cooperation. All the profit or loss shared by specified in the contract when it happened. Europe is the region that co-produce format vitalized the most, France is the foremost country among others. The constant exertion of France for international co-producing began on 1946 by establishment of CNC (Le Centre national du cinema et de l’image animee) Since than, the country support film production as an national policy. By about the same time, Germany and U.K also launched their own national support policy on film production such as tax exemption benefit. In Unite States, co-producing format began on 1960 for saving production cost, but in the country, relationship with the partner country were not parallel but only using capital from the other within hollywood production system. Chinese government also promoted cultural industry from 2001 of W.T.O (World Trade Organization) Since than, they signed for International Co-producing agreement with six other countries. International Co-producing has began comparably early in S. Korea in late 1950s’ but soon disappeared because quality of produced products were not sufficient for the market, those were either ‘Vulgar entertainment’ or ‘Kitch-action movie’. In Korea, significant effort of Co-produced film has re-made on 2000s’. After 2005, more than twenty film has been made as an international cooperation. Notably in late 2010, various format of Korean movies were made with various topics such as; cooperation with U.S; 〈The Last God Father〉, 〈The Worriors Way〉, cooperation with Japan; 〈Pi-An-Do〉, a cinema project with topic of Tae-Kwon Do; 〈The Quick〉, 〈The Last fall〉 Now, International co-producing of film is not an option but irreversible trend. Up to the present in Korea, International co-producing were not supported much by government policy but mostly it naturally happened by economical needs. More aggressive support from Korean government and more participation from other filmmakers are urged to stablize employment market in film production.
