This research was to find out which independent variables among personnel characteristic, watching frequency, and broadcasting-watching time coincidence, effect to the dependent factors(media factor, sport external factor, and sport internal factor) of watching sports on TV, and also which dependant factor relatively influences more compared to other factors. The subjects were a total of 1,192 people selected by checking the goodness of fit on this research. The data were collected from June 26th to July 8th in 2010 by KBS(Korean Broadcast System) and were analyzed frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach’s α, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis using the SPSS 18.0 program.
The result of hierarchical regression analysis were appeared as follows. First, broadcasting-watching time coincidence had an influence on all the dependent factors(media factor, sport external factor, and sport internal factor). Second, gender, income, and watching frequency had an effect on media factor. Third, gender, age, and level of education affected sport external factor. Last, gender and age influenced sport internal factor.
In conclusion, broadcasting-watching time coincidence had an influence most rather than others, and it was appeared the different influences relatively depending on the factors.
