    Leading car companies are trying to strengthen the competitiveness not only by taking action to regulations, but also by getting high scores in NCAP. Restraint system including air bag and safety belt effectively protects the passenger in the event of a car accident. However, restraint system could give passengers impact by restraining them. Much research efforts are made by car companies about restraint system to minimize these injuries. Interaction between design parameters of safety belt and design parameters of airbag is not negligible on the study to reduce injury of passenger. Therefore, it is essential to consider design parameters of safety belt and design parameters of airbag all together. In this study, important design parameters have been selected using Variance based sensitivity analysis methods. Furthermore, optimal combination of restraint system"s design parameter was obtained using response surface method.
