Housing culture is now generally establishing itself as temporary and mobile housing concept rather than the concept of ownership depending on the type of Single person household and smaller furniture. While examining in the midst of the change of housing concept, Jacque Attali says the future life is gradually going back to the system of nomad from that of permanent residence. In such case, today’s urban life is closer to the life of nomads, who move from city to city without boundaries between the cities, than that of static settlement.
Adjusting to the changed lifestyle, containers are getting spotlights for its mobility, modularity, reduction of construction cost and time. While other countries are using containers as residence area because air conditioning is not the major issue due to their environmental trait, practical restrictions follows in Korea due to the internal issues like insulation, fire proof, quake proof, sound insulation, and other issues like safety concerns, negative viewpoint, storage problems. Therefore, this research has a goal of focusing on current case of storage area of container space’s users from domestic and foreign, studying all cases, and suggesting solution for modularity space’s effectiveness of storage space.
