The purpose of the present study is to make basic material of an effective display plan that can be utilized in a type of a medium proper to the exhibition content of a museum applying an exhibition type of the Seoul area in the future by classifying kinds of sensory experience at the museums in the Seoul area, understanding the exhibition medium type through extraction of an expression method applying an experience-style program according to a participation degree and analyzing the expression characteristics of an exhibition medium according to an exhibition subject.
The museums of the Seoul area, which are distributed the most, among museums established since 2000 through investigation of the number of nationwide museums were first selected as survey objects, and 4 places of 18 museums applying the experience-style program inside the museum among the selected 93 museums of Seoul were limited, and the 4 places were designated on the basis of a building area of over 1000㎡, the number of exhibition items of more than 5 pieces and a recently established museum.
The survey method was to write checklist items, to classify it into an exhibition medium type according to sensory experience and expression characteristics of the exhibition medium according to the exhibition subject and to analyze it.
