This research aims to set up the U-Eco City planning standard by listing the basic elements of each U-city and Eco-City by screening analysis with Cronbach’s α Test for the significance evaluation of data and analyzes a common points between them to highlight the spatial hierarchy which should be applied via correlation matrix analysis based on the data collected by FGI(focus group interview). Five panels made U-Eco elements through 3 times workshops taken three months and U-Eco services data was built by 26 professionals’ two round surveys to enhance the significance of data.
As the result of the planing principles of U-Eco City, first both U-City services such as U-Street and U-Work Center, and Eco City’s planing principles such as transit oriented development, and compact and mixed land use could be combined in land use planning of U-Eco City for the sustainable city. Second, in view of transportation planning of U-Eco City, U-City services such as U-Bike and intelligent transportation managing system, and the Eco City’s planing principles such as bike roads and car park for bike are shown to be more important than other factors to be safe, economic and efficient. Third, the park and green area in U-Eco City has both U-city services such as service of managing park green and pollution controling services and Eco city’s planing principles such as facility green land, buffer green belt, scenery green, and 3-dimensional greenery system. Fourth, in the planing water circulation system, water pollution managing services and river stream management system, and in Eco city’ planing principle, water friendly stream shown to be important. Fifth, complex managing system of U-City and natural lighting and ventilation system of Eco City could be combined in the planning of building to be sustainable and economic. Sixth, new and renewable energy cold be made by Eco City oriented solar and geothermal power generation with U-City energy management system.
