In the present study, the behavior of water droplets in the upward air flow was numerically investigated to obtain the high concentration of water droplets in air. To predict the behavior of liquid particles suspended in upward gas flow, the gas flow induced by the blowing system and motion of liquid particles injected from nozzle system were coupled by using the Eulerian-Lagrangian technique. For the break-up of liquid particle under the high shear rate condition, Reitz-Diwakar model was used. From the results for various arrangements of nozzle and blowing systems, it was shown that the concentration of water droplets suspended in air is closely related to the patterns of upward flow.
