In performing construction contract, differing site condition cannot be avoided due to it’s specificity. Because of the advent of new material and new methods with industry development, many facilities have been built on and below the site at the same time. In the construction performed in urban areas or the large-scale underground project, liability for the design can be transferred to the other contract parties according to contract type. If the risk is not effectively managed through contract documents, then various issues faced in the construction site may not be resolved and the possibility of claim is likely to increase. Until now in Korea the research for differing site conditions(DSC) claim has been insufficient. Therefore, in this study, the improvement direction of differing site conditions were suggested in order to prevent disputes due to different site conditions.
