This study analyzes a real example of a radiant floor cooling system cooled by the circulation of a city water through a pipe embeded for a radiant floor heating of a room.
All radiant floor heating system in korea is used just in winter to heat the room. The temperature of city water is approximetly 19~23℃ which is variable to the outside temperature. We need to use the traditional radiant heating system to cool the room in summer too, to maximize a system efficiency. The thermal performance of the radiant floor cooling system is analyzed for summer period according to the DIN 4715-1. An application of a radiant floor cooling system by the use of the city water could be very ecological.
