    Laser-aided Direct Metal Tooling (DMT) is a new additive metal process that fabricates fully dense and geometrically complex metal parts, molds, and dies directly from digital CAD model data of 3D subjects. To satisfy these requirements of DMT technology, an optimized offset algorithm was figured out based on bisectors in computation offset points in order to generate raw offset lines without local invalid loops. Using offset-distance check is the simplest approach to remove the global invalid loops in processing raw offset loops as well as interference loops in joining boundary and islands in advance. This method was verified with various shapes of slice contour either straight line segments or complex circular arcs obtaining good results associated with saving generation time significantly.
