Constant velocity joint(CVJ) creates the generated axial force (G.A.F) when the vehicle is driven. Because this phenomenon can give driver bad driving feeling, sensitive quality of vehicle is declined. Axial force at CVJ is generated by friction between parts of CVJ. In this study, cause of G.A.F of tripod typed CVJ (plunging type) is found by mechanical and dynamic analysis. A numerical analysis of CVJ is conducted using the Multi-body dynamic simulation program DAFUL.
