The purpose of this study were to measure changes in level of low back pain, Cobb’s angle, and lumbar extensor of Standard dancers in dancesport by lumbar stabilization exercise for 12 weeks. The study subjects were 9 female dancesport dancers who complained of chronic low back pain. This study were measured low back pain, spinal cord deformation and intervertebral angles, and isometric lumbar extension strength. This study used SPSS 18.0 program to process the results, calculated the data by descriptive statistics and paired t-test. The significance level was p>.05. The following conclusions were obtained.
It showed significant differences by decrease in pre and post lumbar stabilization exercise visual analogue scale of all subjects. It showed significant differences by increase in lumbar extension strength of all subjects. Therefore, lumber stabilization exercise has been verified that is a effective program in reducing back pain and improving lumbar extension strength of female dance sports athletes. However, technical aspects of dance sports which teach at private educational institute and school is very important, but enhancing the lumbar stabilization exercise and endurance exercise to prevent back pain are also very important. Based on this study, it is considered that is necessary needed to identify the relationship between pre and post training of the muscle time duration and muscle coordination by conducting the lumbar stabilization exercise and in-depth Electromyography with athletes who have chronic back pain and general.
