As globalization is becoming a trend nowadays, multiculturalism of culture and ideas is occurring, leading to an extended need of universal ideas and norms. The life base of the people is now not limited to one specific area or country, but spreading out to a global standard, which makes it unavoidable for people to change their life style, sense of thinking and view of the world as well. However, there are still conflicts throughout the world due to religion. Therefore, learning coexistence and harmony in a multicultural society will act as a peace education the contributes to man’s common objectives as well as an education process that enables us to build up the qualification and leadership as a global citizen.
Therefore, this research suggests three directing points of religion that can be accepted by marriage migrate women in a positive way.
First, a mutual culture understanding should be adopted in the interaction between other religions. Now religion does not merely consider religious dogmas, but has to do with the issues of life, in other words, each person’s situation and culture of a specific area. We should perceive each other’s differences and seek a way toward social integration on the basis of the diverse roles religion should perform.
Second, religious institutions must provide the necessary education, religious life and financial support for the marriage migrate women who are trying to overcome social differentiation and survive in a multiracial, multicultural society. The formation of their identity’ is the topmost issue for marriage migrate women and their children inside a multicultural society.
Third, each of the religious institutions should cooperate in developing a mutual religious view on the basis of multiculturalism rather than enforcing the religious culture of Korea, in which ‘my belief is the best belief’.
In this context, the research will act as a stepping stone for researching the detailed functions of religion that will enable marriage migrate women to adapt to the society.
