The purpose of this study is to survey and analysis a pedestrian route for senior apartment at Segok Rien Park 4th complex in Gangnam-gu. So as to find planning characteristic which is to be improved circulation planning. The method of this study is as follows. First, collate the advanced study of relative subjects such as weak pedestrian, exterior space at apartment complex and ect. for analysis and set up the study as distinguished from other logic. And then by using a eleven senior and disabled person welfare law, define limits to scope of study from the analysis items. In addition, area, width, height, type of the pedestrian route looks for the components of the physical space from a CAD drawing. Lastly it figured out elements of circulation planning and usage of senior friendly design, analysis pedestrian route at senior apartment complex by numerous times of visiting a site and interview with senior resident, The result of this study is as follows. First, according to analysing the layout planning on site plan, the Segok Rien Park 4th complex is divided into 3 zones and an exterior spaces are located in middle of each zone. Second, through analytical researches on actual usage of pedestrian route, lamp 1 at zone A, Elevator at zone B and sub main entrance exit for complex which located in south west side of zone C are most popular pedestrian route for senior. Third, elevator is most often used than lamp or stairs by senior resident. Forth, barrier-free circulation plan and design for senior are fit into the laws, but because this is senior apartment complex, it shall apply reasonable building regulations for senior behavior.
