This essay aims to seek of studying methodology of Farming method in Youngnam province and korean regional development pattern during Joseon Dynasty. Also it reviews the book 〈(The) transition of regional hegemony in Kyongsang-do during Choson dynasty(Kim sung woo, 2012)〉. Joseon dynasty’s regional farming method is develped in order to adapt and overcome the environment of specific region. We need to focus on explaining regional farming method’s historical process.
Irrigation facilities used in Joseon dynasty is dam and barrier. Bank was piled between the valleys to store the water. It was called dam. Barrier was a facility that blocks river in order to turn river water to water for agricultural use. Joseon dynasty’s regional development had close relationship with movements of people and government’s policies. Study of 19th century Joseon dynasty’s farming method and Farming management aspects must be done.
