This study is in relation to a sports celebrity′s identity and its contribution towards cultural-oriented critical discussion. In this study, the identity of the sports celebrity is discussed first, and then based on the current culture of sports celebrity; there will be a critical focus regarding the point of hegemony. And the last issue of a sports celebrity culture is centered on the problem of cultural reforms that were proposed for the scheme. This intensity is as follows; First, the conditions of sports celebrity, in addition to excellence continued ability to perform exercises; it is the product of them according to the logic of neo-liberalism. And sports celebrity involve themselves in a society with certain hegemony and its context, and the process of the mass media is a fundamental operating pattern. Second, the culture of sports celebrity involved in sports shows a state in which they bite thoroughly with the logic of neo-liberalism; thus it is possible to by this, fan base of stardom also represents the worried face. With stardom comes gatekeepers (sports management industry, media), and fan criticism coming a lack of fans can be said to be the center of the problem. Third, in order to overcome the issues of sports celebrity culture, and the relationships regarding stock of sexuality and sport, recognition of the ethics of the noun of the gatekeeper, independent consciousness of sports celebrity must be preceded.
