The popularity gained by the use of biochar in improving biological nitrogen fixation of soybean and curtailing soil fertility is new in the context of Ghanaian agriculture. The aim of this study therefore was to evaluate the short term effect of rice husk biochar application on the nodulation and nitrogen fixaiton in soybean. This study was carried out during the minor rainy season of 2012 (September – December). The experiment consisted of a total of 4 treatments replicated three times and laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design.
