The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of satisfaction at non-verbal communication of dance department instructors on dance flow and dance achievement. This study only focused on non-verbal communication that is a main element of dance instruction to remind us of its importance.
For the purpose, students in the dance department were selected as population using convenience sampling, A total of 383 data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results are as follows. First, dance department instructors"s non-verbal communication had a positive(+) effect on satisfaction. Second, satisfaction had a positive(+) effect on dance flow.
Third, satisfaction had a positive(+) effect on dance achievement.
Therefore, this study reached the conclusion that dance instructors" physical, spatial, and auditory communication influenced students" satisfaction. It suggests that methods to express knowledge and communication attitudes by dance instructors and the use of wide floor during class are important factors for dance department students to feel satisfied at instruction. Moreover, students" satisfaction influenced dance flow and dance achievement.
Based on the results and this author"s opinion, dance instructors should have virtue and quality as an instructor to enhance the quality of class and offer customized class where all students can actively participate and enjoy.
