The incidence rate of mild traumatic brain injury(concussion) is high in sparring Taekwondo. The purposes of this study were to determine the understanding of general information on Taekwondo-related concussion and to analyze potential variables that make significant differences on mean scores of Taekwondo instructors. A total of 300 participants completed questionnaires. Data were collected with simple check-off forms(true and false). T-test and One-way ANOVA analysis were performed to analyze significant differences between the scores on concussion and gender, age, training and teaching experience, education level, and past concussion history. In results, overall average score was 66 scores out of 100 scores. There were significant differences between knowledge scores of concussion and age(p=.01), and past concussion history(p=.01) by each test. The rest of other variables showed no significant differences on general knowledge on concussion. In conclusion, the average score of Taekwondo instructors' basic knowledge on concussion is poor. In terms of athletic injury safety, the instructors need further education and continuous education of general information on concussion on regular basis.
