It is important for an L2 teacher to help his/her students have diverse experiences of L2 review exercise in helping them to develop their four L2 skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. Despite the importance, many L2 teachers, if not most, might be reluctant to make review L2 exercises since it requires them much time and effort. In this paper, therefore, we are to explain the way of using multimedia authoring tools for effectively motivating and guiding L2 students to perform L2 review exercises according to their needs and interests. For this goal, the authors of this study introduced the tools, Google Drive and Hot Potatoes, and explained how to use them to make L2 review exercises readily and to use them effectively for L2 education. As a result, the effectiveness of the two tools was assessed and proved by a survey with 54 undergraduate students and some useful and interesting functions of the tools were found.
