Conventional linear stapler was only applicable to open surgery due to a large head size. Developed linear stapler in this study can transform the head angles from 0°to 90°due to bevel gear mechanism which has cross rotational axis each other and delivers rotational force at right angles. Therefore minimal invasive surgery is possible due to such a mechanism. The upper bevel gear is driven so that the head part are going up to 90°and the bottom of the bevel gear is to provide a feed of blade structure. Stereolithography(STL) file was extracted from a three-dimensional CAD file of the linear stapler and the first prototype was made by 3D layered approach. The secondary and third prototype was produced by machining process after functional improvements.
