As a part of material culture and spiritual culture, furniture is a result of development which is caused by politics and economics, culture in our society, and it is also a materialized view of culture and art rich deposits. It is an expression of traditional culture and art style of countries and nations during a special history period. Five thousand years of Chinese civilization, forms Chinese furniture culture which cohere Chinese nation spirits and embody the nation feature. Furniture firstly meets the functional needs such as to sit, lie on, support, store etc, then it becomes a symbol of traditional feature and nationality, and also becomes a culture type, culture carrier and culture phenomenon. Described the cultural affections to the furniture, the article will specify the importance of culture during the development of Chinese furniture.
