Appeared potable digital equipments whose input method is a touch form are increased currently on the market and digital contents demands according to the growth of communication speed about a mobile telecommunication are incremented. So the diversification of a mobile display is required. An application of Ipod from Apple Co. appeared recently is developed in order to be utilized by various contents using multi-touch form.
This paper addresses an interactive image system development reacting to real time signal using Touch OSC that is the Touch Ipod/ Touch iPod application. Especially since Touch OSC' application is adapted to wireless network OSC(open sound control) method, it has the possibility of a real time system implementation. We made an experiment on interactive performance image system which is implemented on real time and communicates with a computer by a multi-touch signal input from Touch OSC. We can extract the soundsource and the volume data from a communicated signal using the MaxMSP/Jitter environment. Also a signal is implemented by the transformed image on real time. Finally we will utilize the multi-touch technique in the new trial performance and interactive image design beyond a concept of the existing multimedia design through this experiment.
