The purpose of this study is to identify elements of cultural differences in the window frames by comparing and analyzing features and meanings of the window frames in different cultures.
By comparing the features of window frames in Korea, China and Japan, we were able to find out similarities and differences among those windows. This means that the three countries have had an influence on cultures and interacted one another regarding window designs in the long history, but they still have shown distinctive features of each one's own culture. We also found out that the window frames are deeply connected with their housing cultures.
