A study on ancient Chinese history from excavated materials such as Bronze inscriptions(Jinwen, 金文) or slips and tablets(Jiandu, 簡牘) which started to be introduced in earnest in ancient Chinese history study area of 『The Korean Historical Review』 ?Remembrance and prospect? in around 2000s had continuous research result in this period (2012~2013) as well. A study on various topics was still developed with excavated materials and literature material. However, there has been a slight change in research trend such as gradually actively using related materials that used literature material compare to traditional research that used excavated material as a main research text. International exchange that has been active since 2000 also received Chinese and Japanese academia for Korean academia′s level of study on ancient Chinese history as a main research result of this period. Another main characteristic of this period is that advance of young researcher with degree was remarkable compare to average year, and study on certain topic was not limited to ancient history area but atmosphere that synthetically being studied was made.
Main research result from above research trend was introduced focused on; 1) A study on Shang and Zhou history based on oracle-bone inscriptions(Jiaguwen, 甲骨文) and Bronze inscriptions, 2) A study on imperial order and region, 3) Government power and ruling system, 4) Understanding on ancient women, and 5) Understanding on afterlife.
