This study was conducted to analyze an association of menu characteristic and eating place by age group. Data of food intake(24-hr recall) obtained from the fourth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey Ⅳ(KNHANES Ⅳ), which was conducted in 2009, were used for analysis, and the results were as follows. There were significant differences in menu characteristic by eating place at all age groups(p<0.001). Cooked rice were consumed more frequently at home and salted foods were also consumed at home more frequently than eating out places in most of age groups except for subjects under 6 years old. In conclusion, menu characteristics were associated with meal places and there should be an appropriate dietary guidances for each place.
