This study was performed to the basic data of case studies on green roof and PCM. Through the case studies, it is checked that green roof plays a role in reducing roof temperature but its loads are a serious problem as well as additional installation of drainage equipment,.
In the case of PCM, it is checked that PCM reduce the variation of indoor temperature because of its heat storage capacity. It improves an indoor thermal comfort. PCM has been used in other countries by capsulating it and mixing it with concrete. Additionally, it can be widely used for an irregular structure in order to reduce its loads. However; PCM is still a comparably new substance in Korea. We hope that this paper can be used for a basic study on green roof and PCM.
