Space for living is very important for people’s health and life. For this reason, housing plans must consider various family types. However, current housing markets and housing policy are focused on traditional family units and do not meet the needs of the minority of the society. For this reason, development of new type of housing is in order. This paper suggests share house as an alternative to the housing problems for small size families (including single families). Shared housing are economical and efficient housing type that can also guarantee privacy and lower the rent by sharing the space. Nevertheless, the current regulations on single family housing are rather inadequate and only some student housings offer the facilities that meet the standards. Therefore, it is imperative that the type of housing be classified according to purposes, the floor plans and size of each housing type be determined properly, and the criteria for individual space and the public space be set based on the number of residents.
